The App Herdman-Mobivet has been developed keeping in view these unique requirements. The App does twin functions, scans the QR code printed on the ear tag affixed to ear of the animal and enables data entry and update in case the user has been authorized. The precondition of scanning of the QR code leading to opening of the data entry form of the animal ensures that data updated has originated from animal-side and not fudged. The App enables the users to access animal's data under their mandate. In case of para-vet or veterinarian data access is for all the animals under their services. The App functions offline also so that in remote rural areas where data connectivity is poor data recording should not be affected. After registration of farmer, para-veterinarian and veterinarian and other staff following records can be updated: With App lifetime breeding, milk and health records can be maintained. The App also helps in maintaining semen, liquid nitrogen and drug inventories. VArious technical and administrative reports can be generated. The App also provides facility of notification that could be general or actionable based on data processing.

The App can also be used as a tool to disseminate need based information and tele-veterinary support.
